A Spooktacular Wedding

Getting married on a holiday can be tricky business… I’m here to tell you, getting hitched on Halloween can be a mega treat!!

I’ve got 3 Halloweddings under my belt, and every year my theory that  saying “I Do” on October 31st is not just a good idea… but a great one…has proven true!

Patti and Matt seriously couldn’t have picked a better day to tie the knot. The decor was a delight and the venue was the perfect backdrop for this spectacular wedding.

When you’ve got a great candy bar and open taps, none of your guests will be missing their trick or treat bags!

With iconic horror flicks playing in the background and plenty of delicious food (uhm, who doesn’t love Tacos???) this was the best party in Atlanta.

One of the biggest perks of sharing your anniversary with a holiday are the built in decorations.

Patti spent months collecting the perfect pieces and guests helped her to assemble the amazing bottles that adorned her tables. The bettlejuice inspired stripes were a stroke of genius. The bright colors and fun pieces made sure this monster bash would be memorable.

I loved that this couple encouraged their guests to come in costume and it truly made for an awesome event.

Happy Anniversay and Happy Halloween, Patti and Matt!

Bartell + Billick Wedding

As we wrap up 2015 I can’t help but feel blessed that I was able to participate in so many beautiful weddings this year. From barns and breweries to chapels and gardens I have seen venues transformed into the stuff of wedding dreams.

I worked with so many wonderful couples who brought so much joy to my life this year. I can’t really express how fulfilling it is to know that they put their trust in me to make their biggest of days run smoothly. Its a big job and I love doing it.

One of the weddings that made my year so special was the Billick wedding. Lauren and Joe are a special couple. I’ve actually known Lauren since college and was so happy I got to help coordinate their day.

The wedding was held at the Historic Dekalb Courthouse. It turned out to be the perfect backdrop for this perfect couple.

One of the moments from the ceremony that really touched me happened when Lauren and Joe’s families and friends gathered around them to pray over the couple’s future. It was a beautiful moment that I’m sure they’ll remember forever.

Once the Mr. & Mrs. were pronounced we had to be quick on our feet. There was a short amount of time and a lot to do to transform the space into what turned out to be a gorgeous reception!

All of the amazing floral centerpieces were designed by Lauren’s mom. The rest of the decor couldn’t have been more perfect in this space. The lounge area’s gave dancing guests a space to rest their feet…and one of the best things about this reception were the hors d’oeuvres. I can’t resist a wedding with tacos!

(Bride Tip: Ladies, if you’re opting out of a sit down dinner and want something lighter for your guests, space out the arrival of different food items during the party. Your guests will be delighted when a new item gets passed around.)

This wedding was a labor of love indeed. The wedding party and families did a phenomenal job helping to create the perfect romantic setting for this wedding.

So glad I was able to be a part of it! Congratulations again to Lauren and Joe and Happy New Year.
